The concrete arrives late for the big pour for the basement roof
Every structural opening has vertical starter bars which are attatched to the ring beam detail on all the roofs
The majority of the blockwork walls are constructed within the 7 week programme,even after loosing a week due to the weather
The peremeter nib footing had to be cast 70 cm away from the slab to accomodate the sloping wall
Steel ring beams surround the basement ceiling and ground floor bedroom suspended slab
The outer walls are sloping to give the original finca effect,but this construction has cavity walls with insulation and DPC between blockwork to protect from damp
The front open terrace built to accomodate hidden sliding glass windows
Door and window lintels are cast in situ using shuttering and steel cages within the heads
The Sabina beams for the internal ceilings are maticulously prepared individually by hand
The basement is now filled back to the ground level ready for the pour of the structural slab
A large circular collar is set for a concealed external pump to avoid a noisy unit within the basement area
The ceiling to the basement is constructed from concrete hollow blocks and perimeter steel to act as a stong ring beam detail
